help please

hey all, new to the site, and i was wondering.....
is there a sure way to tell which version of the p168 i have? i bought mine on ebay about three months ago, and i've seached and searched and i've found several things, but they all mainly contradict each other. i'm not sure if mine is a 168 or a 168+....and now i'm reading around on this site and i'm finding all sorts of other things like a siphone...? anyways i'm stupid and dumb and ya'll seem to be the most noligable (and believe me, i've looked around) so anyways can anyone help??? thank you very much.

If you take off the battery cover and take out the battery there should be a sticker saying which model you have.

yeah i saw where ya'll had said that on this site, but mine does not have a sticker on it, as a matter of fact it doesn't say anything at all, just two sim slots and memory card spot....any ideas?

That is how my cect p168+ is inside. It says nothing at all. Just the 2 sim card slots and the memory card slot. The batteries have April 2008. Does your battery have any date on it? I don't know if this means anything or not though. I bought my phone as a 168+ but I am not sure now either. One of these nice/smart people here will probably let us know more. Later my friend...

March 2008 should be the p168+ as the first p168c build was june 2008.

try looking both on your battery and under it.

The battery date is just that, when the battery was manufactured... I think my batteries say Nov 2007, but the data from my *#66*# says the firmware build is 03/05/2008.

well i guess it doesn't really matter anymore cause no my phone won't even turn on. i've had the freaking thing for three months and now it won't turn on. what a peice of crap!!!

Ohhh No. Do you know what happened? Was it ok when you turned it off? I am sure you have changed the batteries. Do you have any idea what may have happened? So sorry to hear this. I hope you can get it back on. I wish they had an easy re-set button. That would be so nice.

no i left it in my house for about an hour, i came back and it was off and it wouldn't go back on so i took the battery out put it back in and it came on, the screen flashed a couple of times, froze up and that was it. havn't seen it on since....any ideas?

Oh my gosh! Whats with these phones? I read somewhere that anothers battery ran down completely and went off. They weren't able to get it back on either. I don't know what is with that. My phone was working really great but give it another couple of months and it may not have either. I killed it before it was ready. Someone is making a lot of money off these phones. I really love the phone but wish there weren't so many problems. If I hear of anything to help you I will sure let you know. Good Luck...

Mine says Dual Quad P168+ under the battery

You are one of the lucky ones. Mine doesn't say a thing. Not sure what I have.

when i bought mine on ebay, it said p168+, but, again, it doesn't really matter anymore.
