| I have wondered that myself. I am thinking maybe one is for picture messaging and the other text. ha I am not sure. I can be totally embarrassed by this. I bet someone here will tell us in no time. Thanks for the question. I wish I could find spell check on here. I know I am the worst speller of all time. | |

| SMS = short messaging service MMS = multimedia messaging service
So essentially SMS is a glorified pager service that can handle alphanumeric values. It's text only and relatively cheap and easy to implement.
MMS contains both text and some sort of multimedia, be it a picture, animated gif, movie, sound, or a combination thereof. In order to store the non-text information, a message server is required. Depending on who the service provider is for who you're sending the MMS to, if they don't have MMS service or an MMS-capable phone, you might get an error.
Are these your settings?
WAP GW IP Address: 216.155.165.050 APN Name: wap.voicestream.com Messaging Server: http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc Data Mode: Connection Oriented
The http address is: http://216.155.174.84/servlets/MMS

| Yeah, obviously you're missing all the settings.
Go HERE:
http://tmobileuspublic.wdsglobal.com/
Choose Nokia 2610.
Select the service you want, in this case MMS. Enter the security code and your phone number. The next page will give you a PIN, and you will be sent a request to install settings. it'll ask you for the PIN, then walk you through where to save the various settings... essentially just choose any old slot when it asks you.

| Just for information, if you switch between 2 sims, you have to manually switch between GPRS settings for MMS and web browsing. | |

| did you try going here: http://www.nokiausa.com/A4410019 Click on "Get standard settings" Accept the "terms and continue", then click "start" choose the settings for a Nokia 2610. Follow the instructions and your cect will be configured in a matter of seconds. Please make a search before asking questions, because this was already answered in the tutorials sections, thanks | |

| Yes I tried it 3 times, I will give a detailed step by step what it does gimme a second and I'll post up and edit this mesage.
1:did all the steps and waiting on text to enter pin 2: got text ans says install sim1 setting? I press ok 3:asks me to enter pin so entering pin so i do and hit ok 4: i get a screen that says new setting and under that it says like this Setting for *data account *mms
so I hit install on teh bottom left screen
5: I get another screen that says Install settings profile: 1/1 account name: t-mo mms
apn: wap.voicestream.com
I hit install on bottom left hand
6: Now I get another screen that says Data account and looks like this below
1:china mobile gprs 2:cht gprs 3:t-mo mms 4: tat gprs 5:fet gprs 6:mobitai gprs 7:kgt mms 8:airtel gprs 9:airtel mms 10: vodafone gprs
I am assuming I click on number 3:t-mo mms so I hit OK on bottom left Once I click that another menu with tmobile info pops up like their proky and all that so I click install.
