I need some help setting up my new p169 + i have at&t and purchased the phone through ebay and it is unlocked. When i put my sim card in it says emergency at the top and no signal at all. can someone tell me what i need to do in order to get this to work...

Thanks for that link i had already read it and got no result from it on the back of the phone is the sticker but it does not tell me the bands that are on it.... like in the picture... the imei number is on the sticker but when i do a quick few keys on the phone i get a totally different sticker hence i guess because the phone is unlocked but when i do a search on google for the imei number the phone produced with they key strokes used that imei number in question is all over the net...

I went into enginerring mode and set it to auto but that still did not help me at all the phone still says emergency..

Sorry to say but.... No I believe you dont have the correct phone for the 850 band which is needed for AT&T North America just as the link I provided to you in the above post.



try and send your phone back. if you got it on ebay.
